Blue Print flyer design

There’s not long to go until the New York shows, and I’ve created my first, Blue Print flyer design especially for this exciting event! For my flyer, I have used a map of Lapland, which I designed for week nine’s Wanderlust theme on the Rise Design and Shine course. It was a difficult decision selecting which design from my portfolio to use for the flyer, as I would be representing myself as one of Brenda Manley‘s artists. However, after I had created the map, I knew that I had to use it. It made sense to use the map because of the colours and illustrations in this design. I believe it demonstrates my style perfectly; painterly, playful, colourful and contemporary.

I so wish I could be at Blue Print and Surtex this year, in person, but unfortunately I can’t yet afford it. I’m intending to go next year, however, from what I’ve seen on social media, the trade shows look amazing and I imagine they each have a fantastic atmosphere, as well as a huge array of wonderful designs!

Here’s my finished Blue Print flyer design. I may also end up making one for Surtex. I will try to fit that in, when creating new work for the shows.

Are you exhibiting at Blue Print and Surtex or even helping out at the shows?  Will you be representing yourself or going with an agency?

Enjoy the rest of your week!
