New Designers 2016

Above is an image of my entry pass and just some of the colourful business cards I picked up, as I walked around the exhibition.

Just about a month ago, I was at the New Designers 2016 exhibition, in London. I saw some outstanding pieces of work on display, and I want to share some of those with you, in this post. Students from all around the UK were demonstrating the best of their degree work and I must say that I was pretty impressed with the quality of the work and the capability of the students!

I remember, towards the end of my degree, my fellow students and I were asked by the tutor if a group of us wanted to take some of our work to New Designers. Most of us were very keen, although we didn’t actually go. I’m not too sure why, but I suspect that it wasn’t properly organised. After visiting at the beginning of this month, I really wish we had been there!

Therefore, this was my first time to New Designers and it was very busy indeed. I was suprised at how big the venue was and by the professionalism of the work. There was so much talent and here, I share with you a selection of the textile and pattern designs which caught my eye; for their use of colour, drawing skills, creativity and trend awareness.

New Designers 2016, where all the talent was happening!

I hope you like the pieces that I’ve selected for your pleasure. Did you go to New Designers this year? Did anyone you know exhibit at New Designers 2016?

Until next time!
