‘Enchanted Garden’ – wedding stationery

I have nearly completed a suite of wedding stationery, based on the gardens at Tatton Park in the theme of ‘Enchanted Garden’.

There are hand-drawn and computer generated elements that I have used. The decorative illustration sections are hand-rendered and I decided to use an elegant script font to display the wedding information/details.

The initial chosen colours were black and white, however I decided to soften the look by adding a deep ecru shade in the background, instead of using contrasting white. It compliments the black areas well and this colour-way I suppose, concentrates on the wooden aspect of the gardens.

There is more to come for this range, including a patterned background for the reverse of the stationery, fresh colours for the illustrations and text and watercolour foliage for more decorative details. Also, I aim to experiment with the positioning of the text and producing this in calligraphy (hand-drawn).

Cyber Security Awards ceremony, IOD, Pall Mall, London

I had a lovely time visiting London at the weekend. Me and my business partner only went for two days and the weather was warm and bright, which was great!

I had been practising my calligraphy technique, which I used when writing the names on the winning certificates, for the Cyber Security Awards Masterclass 2014. I had designed their awards ceremony menu, along with the certificates, lanyard and name cards and they wanted the designers to attend the awards evening 🙂

Here are some pictures that we had taken whilst in London. We visited South Kensington and Covent Garden market and as you can see, the weather was glorious!
